Following the submission of our planning application, our proposals will be considered by Essex County Council.
If our application is approved, we will appoint contractors and start the process of demolition of the current building and construction of the new library thereafter.
Before demolition work starts we will put plans in place to provide a temporary library service, with no break in library provision, as close to the existing library as possible. Further details will be published here, and in the library, at the appropriate time. We will be working with the library service on this temporary provision, but are unable to agree final arrangements until such time as the project may secure planning consent.
